PS. Are you the same Ed Edwards listed as one of the lead editors of the HIWG documents?

I'm the same one. This Traveller wiki is the technology I wish had existed back in 1987 -- This Traveller wiki is what we needed the HIWG to be. HIWG = History of the Imperium Working Group - a group of people working together to flesh out the history of the Imperium (both future to the time-line of 1987 but the past as well. I dropped out of TRAVELLER when I got tied up professionally plus my youngest started school and my wife started work and I was working on another of the three half-Masters that I have. Well that profession is over (I retired). My son should graduate in December (7th-year Senior)with a Bachelors in Art: Music (Percussion) and Religious Studies. (He RPGs pool refereeing - some Vamprie game, I think. My first wife died in 1999. I married my Second wife in 2002

I'm really glad you discovered us. We're trying to re-create the HIWG experience, and it's going a little slower than you seemed to have done.

I also need to ask the obligatory question. Can we have permission to post your HIWG material to the Traveller wiki? Tjoneslo 12:46, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

You have permission to put all HIWG material by Ed Edwards that you might have (I don't seem to have any) for use {preferably with attribution (could be as simple as "Ed Edwards did it") - Exception would be where the format is changed (starmaps, ship plans)} in Traveller wiki.

As for the work of other authors, I have no authority to grant permission (largely because I don't have the material in any format. My data was on 5-1/4-inch floppy disks, a dead media - no more readers of those floppies.) One of the reasons I came here is to find out what happened to HIWG, HIWG people, etc.

Thank you for your permission. If you look at any of the library articles, every one has a blue box at the bottom with the sources, including author names, of the article. All of your article will be linked back to your User page.

Would like to get in touch with Ed Edwards....

I would like to thank him for Working Passage, if nothing else. He was very kind to me in the mid-1980s when my Traveller fever was upon me.
