I live in Texas. I go online for Traveller stuff since nobody in the southeast corner of this state knows anything exists past the bayou, gumbo and lil' wayne. Such a shame, they're missing out on Lord Weird Slough Feg and all the Traveller stuff! I'm old new-school. That is, I've RPG'd off and on since the early 90s, so I was new school when the old-school guys were missing D&D 1E, and I was an AD&D 2E guy to the core. Had a friend try to get me into GURPS:SPACE but scared me off with the character creation and escape velocity formulas!
Only recently did I discover Traveller, and prefer Mongoose .. simply because it appears to be at core, close to Classic, not a lot of fluff, but updated a bit with the times. I believe Technology in Traveller could use a serious undusting :)

I don't take on specific tasks too much, just get on a binge fixing one thing, then move onto another. For Canon stuff, I'm here. For MTU items, I'm over at my own wiki for the Carina Confederacy.

Aboard the private vessel the Dismal Derelict, Lotherius charts known and unknown worlds and sells the info to the highest bidder - which is frequently not the Imperium. As traders and scouts are wont to misreport much information, I also am a specialist in verifying the veracity of such reports and labeling them appropriately.
