1. EXTERNAL LINK: Mark Suszko: I had that back in the day, when I wrote about it in JTAS, I called it "quickcoral". A fast-growing pumice-like material that formed around decaying organic matter in shallow tidal flats n swamp edges, and so was buoyed by decomposition gasses.
