Past sources, including the Regency Sourcebook's 1117 data, list Geniishir as the subsector capital. In fact, the Sourcebook specifically states "Geniishir is an example of the inflexible and unimaginative nature of the old Imperial administration. To the Imperium a subsector was a subsector was a subsector, no matter how many worlds it had. Thus the Geniishir subsector, proud possessor of four worlds and 700 million persons, required its own capital."

The Mongoose Deneb book on page 59 also describes Geniishir as the subsector capital.

The T5 data does not list a capital for the subsector, and the Mongoose book on page states "Geniishir’s functions are largely administrated from Usani."
