The vehicle is broadly based on the LZ127 Graf Zeppelin (TL 5). The aircraft capture system was pioneered by the American airship USS Macon (where it was known as the trapeze) but the sophisticated hanger system depicted by this vehicle is more a product of action movies and exciting visuals.
