In Chuck Kallenbach's 1991 Paranoia Press updates, the Stormhaven Republic roughly corresponds with the polity in the center of The Beyond, otherwise identified as either the I'Sred*Ni Protectorate or the Federation of Garrone. The Federation of Garrone was based upon the de-canonized Sunbane stellar data, and is located in roughly what is currently designated as the area of the I'Sred*Ni Protectorate.
