The Ancients stole life forms from earth 300.000 years ago
Dogs (Canis domesticus) only appeared around 30.000 years ago (at the most)
=> The Ancients could not have taken dogs. Wolfs and Coyote yes but those are different species (Canis lupus and Canis latrans) within the same group
