1. EXTERNAL LINK: One idea that resonates with me is derelicts, preferably alien, and the older the better. In particular the long-abandoned ramscoops in Ringworld and Ringworld Engineers. There they sit. Waiting.

3. EXTERNAL LINK: "Derelict" by Long-Pham. I wonder what the referee put in there...
4. EXTERNAL LINK: I am trying to find derelict spaceships in deep space as images. The only picture I want but can't seem to find is a broken ship with debries around it, floating in the emptiness of space. No planets, no other ships, no pristine looks.
5. EXTERNAL LINK: There have been various posts here about starship salvage. I just noticed that there is a JTAS article from March 28, 2000, in the SJGames edition of JTAS. It was reprinted in "GURPS Traveller: Best of JTAS" (volume 1, but there never was a volume 2), page 73.
