- EXTERNAL LINK: Has anyone made a "official / non-official" chart for cost of designer babies? We area already able to do some of this now at current TL so figure at TL 10+ it would be fairly routine for most things and at TL 12+ probably mandatory in some societies to lower medical costs by correcting any issues before birth. Just checking to see if there is an actual chart before I get into what it costs now and "guestimate" costs in the future.

- EXTERNAL LINK: I could see artificial wombs used to grow colonists for a starting colony lacking inhabitants. Colonists are accelerated to about 12 years old. They have memories, skills, and random personality algorithms downloaded to their brains. Sort of like a colony in a box. You get six male and six female eggs ready to be grown and put into service with in one year of accelerated growth.
