Rancke Notes (2007)[edit]
- One source says that Strephon delegated war powers to Duke Norris during the Fourth Frontier War. Since Norris wasn't a duke at that time, either Norris' father was also named Norris or the reference should have been to the Fifth Frontier War. GURPS Traveller: Nobles established that Norris' father was named Willem.

- In the OTU Strephon did not make Norris Archduke of Deneb. He may have been considering it, but he didn't actually get around to doing it. In the GTU, he did make Norris archduke. This is, in fact, the earliest divergence between the two universes yet revealed in canonical sources. It may or may not be the actual change point.
