Jumps are powered off the battery.
Jump drive aside, there is barely not enough power to run all systems at once. Shutting down the fuel processors (in combat), maneuver drives (when mining), or lasers (when neither in combat nor mining) solves the problem.
While only one instance of Fire Control/1 is purchased, it is run 3 times in combat, once for each turret. It can only give +1 to hit, and not fire the turrets. Typically the virtual crew fires the turrets. There is not enough computer bandwidth to run the virtual crew, 3 fire control instances, and jump control at once, but the jump control and fire control never run simultaneously.
