Sekoor

In the twelve colonies area of the Manubalista gas giant of the Unofficial system is a large moon named Sekoor with a class F space port. The colony is barely self-sufficient, they live at the bottom of a valley 1km north of the equatorial space port because of the low thin atmosphere. They have to reclaim and recycle all their water. The local ices that cover 40% of the surface are mostly methane and carbon dioxide. As a result water and food are welcome imports. The scattered valleys are OK, but the surface is near vacuum. The landing strip is 1km wide and 5km long. There is a 30ton underground warehouse, accessible if a bank card is swiped and berthing fees are paid. On the surface there is shielded access to a one ton freight elevator, and below, parked adjacent to the warehouse is a one ton fork lift. There is some unrefined fuel accessible with pay at the pump technology on the surface, two repair bays, a radio beacon, satellite, and a model 1 computer. There is a ship's engineer, an electrician and a mechanic who share a workshop and have tool kits. They have a few tons of spare parts in a small "junk" yard of recovered parts from visiting ships shot down by the ASB. There are 37 colonists, led by Governor Malcolm and protected by Deputy Barney Fife 454655 Age 37 Revolver-1, Sloppy Joe (field kitchen, cook, steward-1), all veggies, no meat, 1 ATV, 100Cr. berthing fee for 1st six days, then 100Cr/day after that. Unrefined fuel Cr.100/ton and life support Cr.2,000/person/ two weeks. Two rooms for rent. Small store with most items. Law level 6, no open carry, weapon lockers by space port. Train with one passenger car (20 capacity) and a cargo car (10tons). The monorail connects the happy green valley colony with the space port. There is the equivalent of a company clearing station and a battalion aid station with a nurse and a doctor with 8 beds/cots between them. Limited mining, they have been cut off because of the ASB over watch and would like that dealt with. They would like trade and will grant a letter of mark. A single colony base, little excess, 50,000/year potential with trade. They may have some petrochemicals mined from the ice deposits. A few tons of metals like iron and aluminum ore are possible. They are unrefined and only worth 1/2 price.

Update 8.11.15

The crew of the SS Huntress (formerly the Buck Jolly Rodgers), Dame Mercy Rose, Bax the Omegazon, and Dame Shandra Q met Sir Dragor Darkmoor, Chester and Dame Jazmine Rayne on Miaphonus. They formed the SAYM Company and listed the Huntress and Thomas the Yacht as assets. They have not formally taken possession of Jazmine's Galleon because they don't want to start making mortgage payments as the Dragor's yacht is free and clear. They used Dragor's money to buy the cargo. Jazmine's dad was killed by a local gang outside the casino and she has the ship's papers. They bought a load of speculative cargo on Miaphonus and returned to Sekoor. They can't take passengers until they get enough crew to cover the steward slot and the medic slot. They forgot to take freight. At Sekoor they came under fire from the alien fort, which they thought they had knocked out before. Apparently the aliens can repair their silo. They sold the cargo for a decent profit, minus the Galactic Girl Guides 20% brokerage comission. They sold a 1 ton water purification and filtration unit to Governor Malcolm that will enable the Sekoor colonists to better process and recycle water from the local ices. They tried to deliver the Governor's message to inform the Confederation Nobility about the alien presence on Sekoor.

Five Sekoor colonist had taken the ATV to deal with the alien fort. The team used their new ATV from the Yacht to investigate. They found the bodies of five missing colonists and the wreckage of Sekoor's ATV in a mortar shell crater. The aliens had captured and were using the mortar, Bax used on their silo and are using it to defend their pyramid. The warriors on the team use the four working space suits to sneak into the red valley. The less stealthy members of the team come under mortar fire and are wounded. Tear and swear suit patches are employed. Jazmine and Dragor stay in the ATV just outside mortar range.

They walk into the red valley and are shot at by an alien using an organic carbine. They return fire with Shandra's SMG and Mercy's cutlass put it out of their misery. They find an alien food garden and enter the tunnels under the complex. They explore the complex and try to shut off the geothermal power tap. They are attacked by some 6kg flying carnivores who rip more holes in their suits. They melee with the other alien, a slimy blob in a space suit bag. He knocks Mercy across the control room before they kill it. They steal the organic carbine with 8 rounds, the HMG, recapture their 8cm mortar with 10 remaining HE shells, and take the fire control computer terminal. The retreat to the Sekoor spaceport. Bax wants to set charges to block the tunnel which connects the alien fort to the alien colony. Four are wounded and will need medical attention. Suits need repair and the rest of the crew may need more with extra patches.

They plan to head to Humbolt to sell the latest load of cargo. They want to hire a medic and take on passengers on the yacht. At Miaphonus they found out that the stolen Omegazon Scout Cruiser took on crew and repair components. It is believed they are headed for the outer moons of Manubalista to effect repairs. Only Urza (F300269-7) has a GRU military space port which could shelter the stolen Omegazon ship.

Current Cargo Manifest: 26 days fuel for yacht, 13 days life support, berthing for 1 week for the Huntress and Dragor's 30 ton Boat They want 46 tons of freight to fill the Yacht's cargo bay. They have purchased 2 tons of Pharmaceuticals at 40% of retail and 11 tons of electronic parts at 70% of retail.
