S'ska Glacier
A geographical feature of Mimu, a remote valley in the northern Uakhsiak Highlands. Water from the S'ska Glacier flows over rich mineral deposits on its way to the Zusssu Ziari ocean, becoming saturated with mineral salts as it goes. When it reaches the Ukrik Falls, it drops an unbroken 400 metres to the pool below. In the tropical temperatures, much of the water evaporates, and beautiful, delicate crystals form. Those who can capture crystals before they shatter are left with valuable and beautiful prizes.
Chir Ak Ziask's LifeWeb is the greatest specimen known, fully thirty centimetres across. The LifeWeb is now on permanent display in the Interphylum Congress building in Triskskiss, in its own null-gravity capsule.
The "Crystafalls" are a major tourist site, but access to the crystal collecting points is strictly controlled. Only noted S'mrii artists are allowed direct access. The glacier itself, far upriver, is not restricted.
