S'Broos

A flowering plant native to Kuriishe. The S'Broos is found deep in the Valleys of Lryin; one of the most beautiful flowers in the region, vast sheets of the plant cover the valley sides at the 1,000m to 1,650m range. When in season they can bloom for up to three continuous days and nights before reclosing their dark blue and purple petals. While the blossoms are open they absorb enough radiant energy to nourish and support them for half the local year. A certain amount of energy is lost in the process, resulting in a display of bio-luminescence from the open petals that enables them to be seen from miles away. It looks like a giant purple and dark blue reflection to the casual observer.
