Ahriy

An Aslan social grouping, typically translated by Humans as "Pride".

Description

Several Aslan families (Ekho) will combine to form a Pride (Ahriy).

The Tao' of the dominant family will also be the leader (Aewar) of the Pride. This relationship is strictly hierarchical. All members of the constituent families owe allegiance and fealty to the leader of the whole Pride.

Prehistorically, all members of a Pride would care for all other members. "Such caretaking was necessary for survival".

Similarly, each Pride is associated with a Clan (Huiha), the leader (Fouheh) of which is given the allegiance and fealty of the whole Pride.
