Description[edit]

The primary instrument of adjudicating the Navy’s conduct (and that of its personnel) is the Admiralty Court. This institution is also charged with adjudicating the legitimacy of Prizes, disputes regarding Wrecks and Salvage, Flotsam and Jetsam and, most famously, the judgement in cases of Mutiny, Barratry and Piracy.
