Lastenti

The Lastenti of Troolian are a non-Human Minor Race with a Non-Humanoid appearance.

The Lastenti spend their lives aloft, high in the dense atmosphere of Troolian. The planet is a water world, and the Lastenti exploit the seas below but are permanently at home in the sky. They glide on broad, feathered wings.

The Lastenti are in contact with Humans and other aliens.

History

The first armed force of the Lastenti was the aashrat (roughly translated as "air force") which consisted of armed bands of Lastenti organized to protect against rival flocks. Some individuals were trained for single combat against enemy forces, and these individuals refined the dogfight to a fine art. Some Lastenti concentrated on the sea below, eventually building ships from which they conducted large-scale fishing operations.
