Kheul-Doar-Rha

A city on Silk, location of the planetary Downport.

Kheul-Doar-Rha is an amalgamation of three different settlements that have gradually grown together over the centuries. Much of it is built out into the Q'habora Sea, and even the areas on land are primarily built on the side of transport and irrigation canals. The Starport is relatively central to the city, and entire farms are found within the city limits as the urban suburbs joined around them.

The five ruling clans of Silk, the Lao, are found here. The oldest part of the city is the Kheul district, where the Lui Ch'en clan have their estates. This area is considered by many the cultural centre. The Han Wu and Jin Qi clans built up the land-based Doar settlement, while the Qui'ndao and Hualiu Si clans settled the coastal Rha region.

Kheul-Doar-Rha has an extensive transport system available. It is relatively easy to travel around by private launch or public ferry. The city boasts three high quality hotels -- The Jinglin (affiliated to the Lui Ch'en), the Silken Rose (affiliated to the Han Wu), and the Jiangua (affiliated to the Jin Qi).
