Ishlagu

A former star system, now a neutron star with a planetoid debris field, within the Great Rift of Reft Sector. Known as the Ishlagu Calibration Point or the Ishlagu Planetoids, this scattering of rocky bodies may have deposits of exotic materials. There are rumours of some kind of mining base within the planetoid field, but the great difficulty of bringing resources to market from deep in the Rift would probably make this economically unviable... unless something *really* rare was found.

Ishlagu is used as an astronavigational calibration point by ships for several sectors around, due to the neutron star's extremely powerful and regular radio-frequency pulses.
