Inasko

A sophont species, members of the Hive Federation.

They are native to an eponymous planet (Blaskon 1119), a cold world of tundra and ice fields.

The Inasko have multiple colonies and a presence on many Federation worlds. The Inasko Guidance is a recognised interstellar sub-polity of the Hive Federation.

The Inasko, like the Hivers themselves, have a history of interfering with other, less advanced species. Unlike the Hivers, their curiosity historically took a vaguely sinister form in which populations of other species -- including Atnaeld and Humans -- were apparently abducted for experimentation. In the modern Hive Federation, the Inasko are fully integrated. Some observers have suggested, though, that there remains a slight tension as to what the "Inasko Guidance" represents: Inasko guidance of junior partners within their territory, or Hiver guidance of the "domesticated" Inasko?
