Ekranoplan

An ekranoplan is a type of ground effect vehicle which bears a superficial resemblance to an airplane but does not achieve significant height above ground. Unlike other GEVs such as hovercraft, an ekranoplan uses the wing-in-ground effect to maintain ground clearance.
