Clan Douglass is, historically, among the most powerful noble clans in the Principality of Caledon. The clan has provided 14 Sovereign Princes who reigned for a total of 176 years of Caledonian history, between -371 and 103, including two separate restorations.
While the clan hasn't held the throne in almost 900 years, it remains a formidable force, having provided 22 Regents, as well as countless hundreds of key businessmen and military leaders.
Currently notable members of the clan include:
- Derek, 86th Duke of Douglass, the sitting Chieftan of the House of Lords and Chief Executive Officer of Marylbone Surety, one of the largest commercial assurance companies in the Principality.
- Vincent, 90th Viscount of Dunvernon - General Vincent Douglass is commander of the military's General Command Staff.
- Annette, Dutchess of Rodney Lines - President of Douglass Capital, the banking and investment house that underwrites municipal and planetary government bonds that is the mainstay of the clan's financial portfolio, with an institutional value of well over a trillion credits, and a personal fortune very close to 100 billion credits.
