History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Within the Imperium, research has been conducted to confirm whether it is possible to create a disintegrator beam weapon. Work has generally concentrated on modifying the defensive weapon known as a nuclear damper. Theory suggests that if the strong nuclear force between subatomic particles could be weakened, a target's atoms would fly apart.
They are available at very high Tech Levels. Under research at TL-15, they become available at TL-16. they are an extension of the manipulation of forces employed in nuclear damper systems, weaponized.
