Noun
Karunargur (Anglic: Karunargur )
- “Emperor’s merit”
Usage notes
A quality held by a ruler, incorporating both his worthiness to govern for the benefit of all the people and his right to claim the authority to do so. The ruler was “vested” with karunargur by tradition, and could lose the quality if he ruled in such a way as to break tradition[1]. The term is somewhat similar to the ancient Terran concepts of the "Mandate from Heaven" of ancient Imperial China or the concept of wielding "Imperium" in ancient Imperial Rome.
