"Cold Fusion" is a general term used for a process that yields nuclear fusion power without the necessity of generating immense heat or pressure in order to initiate and maintain the fusion reaction process. In this sense, the process is "Cold" only in so far as it does not require Megakelvins to thermally maintain, as is the case with a Thermonuclear Fusion Reactor.
