Clay Johanson contributed several articles to both Traveller's Digest and Game Designers' Workshop's Challenge magazine, including Clarkesstar (TD14), Davout (Challenge 33), AECA (Challenge 43), and Highland (Challenge 44).

• He also contributed the "Australia" chapter to GDW's Earth/Cybertech Sourcebook for Traveller: 2300/2300AD.
• Clay worked with Lester Smith of GDW on developing a 2300 module for the planet King, which would have also included support for a proposed 2300 add-on called Gunsled (a vehicular combat system for 2300).
• Sadly, neither the King module nor Gunsled ever came to pass.
