Campaign:NHNE/Places/Meridian Ocean
This is one of two oceans on New Earth, it sits across the prime meridian.

The Meridian Ocean covers about 150 million square kilometres of the surface of New Earth and sits between the Arctic Pole to the north and the Antarctic Pole to the south, and between Landing to the west and Barrier to the east. The north part of the ocean is bounded on the west by Maria and includes three huge islands and many island chains.
The Meridian Ocean is, on average, shallower than the Meridian Ocean - it averages about 1,200m deep - but the deep trenches found here include one in the Touchdown Channel that is 6,000m deep.
The north part o fthe ocean is divided into several basins surrounded by mid-ocean shallows and islands. These shallows are incredibly productive and have been heavily colonised by Terran Corals and is starting to produce significant reefs.
