Description[edit]
The largest group of sea-mounts on Poseidon stretching 3000km from the equator in a north-easterly direction. This ridge reaches to within 130m of the surface of the sea at its shallowest.
The Addis Seamounts cause a cold-water upwelling that cools the atmosphere above it and provides a measure of protection against the worst of the storms. It is in this area that the main rafting groups often congregate.
