Joachim Lopez is variously described as an "International Terrorist" or a "Gun for Hire". Originally from New Heaven, Joachim was a member of their "Special Forces" and then became a free-lance hostage-rescue consultant acting for various bodies throughout the system. He was linked to the kidnapping of Florence Ngoya and the gang war between the Eithaf Syndicate and Nepenthe in the late 290s.
