The Republic of Llamas is a state on New Earth.
Description[edit]
A state on New Earth with a strong Spanish heritage. The Spanish-speaking contingent aboard the Union were one of the groups that landed as a fairly coherent unit - and landed on an island in the Great Crater Lake that was said to be shaped like a Llama.
The border between Llamas and Heaven has fluctuated over the years and was over 1000km North-East of its current position when initially drawn.

The flag of Llamas denotes the Spanish heritage of the first settlers and the Ecology that the initial terraforming efforts were seeking to establish.

Early History[edit]
The Crater Lake Terraforming Centre was one of the main places for terraforming research during the first part of the settlement across the continent. In homage to the centre's location, a group of camelids were some of the first creatures they un-froze.
Disputes with New Heaven[edit]
The exact border between Llamas and Heaven was never specifically set as the distances between these two settlement centres were so great. Additionally, the Government of Llamas designated the eastern shore of the Great Crater Lake as a reserve - and consequently didn't settle the region. This policy, however, meant that Heaven was able to establish a settlement there in secret in 194. This led to several clashes between forces of Llamas and Heaven in the subsequent century. The latest of these disputes in the Third Crater War of 278 to 287.
