Campaign:NHNE/General/Poseidon Tarot
Description[edit]
A complex and mysterious religion found on Poseidon's Ships and underwater bases. The key to the religion is the daily casting from a pack of cards made up of Major Arcana (22 Cards) and Minor Arcana (13x5=65 Cards). Each card is hand made using hand-made paper and hand-painted images. As a result, no two packs are identical in size or decoration. As considerable works of art, the few packs that have entered the market have sold for considerable sums.
Condemned by many as a distraction from the serious business of colonisation, its adherents propose that it is a necessary distraction from a business that misses the point of living in the colonised world.

History[edit]
The Poseidon Tarot card deck appeared within a decade of the settlement of Poseidon and the first was reputed to have been made by the artist Gomez Lavalle as a gift for his friend Leah Jones in the years 118-119.
Madame Jones used these both for entertainment and occult purposes. The occult readings used to take place in obscure corners of the vessel and she became one of the most influential figures on the first settlement's dock-ship Trident.
