Each ship is required to hold an accurate list of passengers as part of the standard Ships Papers showing date and place of boarding and (later) date and place of landing.

Description

The Passenger Manifest is one of the pieces of standard ship administration that will be inspected by the port authorities and those other authorities that may, from time-to-time, board the vessel. The document must contain the following information:

• The identity of the passenger
• The date and place that the passenger boarded
• The date and place the passenger landed
• Any illness diagnosed in (or death of) the passenger while aboard
