Driscoll Drives is a manufacturer of M-Drives based in The Belt.
History[edit]
Driscoll Drives started as a reaction drive manufacturer, transitioning to M-Drives with its M-1 to M-3 series. With a move to the new M-4 the company ran into serious financial trouble as a series of production issues resulted in a number of crashes and the associated bad publicity.
Their Driscoll Beltlight series formed the basis of their rehabilitation.
It was only with luck, and the appearance of a white-knight investor (in the form of the Adok Dynasty), that the Driscoll brand survived. (Speculation that the issues that necessitated the white-knight intervention were caused by agents of the Adok Dynasty is strenuously denied by both parties.
