The Atomic signature radiation scanner analyzes samples of radioactive contamination to identify the amount and kind of radioactive substances present. With this information a trained professional can often identify the source of a particular instance of contamination, identify the planetary origin of a particular radioactive ore or check the effectiveness of a nuclear damper driven decontamination unit. Likely to be present in geology labs, health physics laboratories and terraforming support labs.
