Arkaene, as a member world of the Third Imperium has a member of the Imperial Nobility overseeing the world.
World Starport[edit]
Arkaene has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
The Highport is a corporate facility run as the sole asset of Arkaene Highport, LIC. Corporate security personnel maintain a standard Imperial law level of 4 on the port (sidearms and blades were permitted) and conduct rigorous checks on ships coming in across the border.
The Arkaene Highport Corporation hosts regular ‘networking dinners’ and parties (usually fairly dignified) for visiting crews, at which it is possible to meet useful contacts.
