The race defined as the “Prt'” call themselves “Felien.” (Pronounced Fay-Lean) “Prt'” was a misnomer, taken from the name they have for their home world “Prt'aow” (Clan – Home). The word prt' translates as “Clan.” Felien consider this misrepresentation to be a Solomani joke. Hivers, and Aslan in particular always know the real name for the race. The members of the race claim their racial name is Hasst'kor in origin and, as a group, they have an unreasoning and nearly fanatical reverence for the Hasst'kor. The primary Technology level for the Felien home world is TL9. The main cities of Prt'aow are TL9, with some clans in wilderness areas maintaining as low as a TL3 environment by choice. Even in the lower TL areas Individual power plants, amenities and communications systems will often be TL9. The population of the Prt'aow is between 300,000 and 350,000.
