Asashluu is a nonindustrial fluid world.
- A fluid world has an oceanic geography consisting of heavily contaminated water or a substance such as ammonia, methane, hydrocarbons, or other exotic liquid.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Old Suns Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector in the Domain of Vland.
- During the Long Night this world was named Gaas..

Point of Interest: Asashluu Scout Base
Asashluu is the most important of the cluster of scout bases in the Old Suns subsector, acting as a coordinating centre.
- The base (which is the size of a moderate town of 50,000 Inhabitants, sealed and partially underground) houses large number of records on the IISS operations and activities in the Vland Domain and is second only in importance to the scout way station at Lenashuuk (Dagudashaag 1640).
- Asashluu is also a crucial training ground for new recruits to the service and a technical evaluation of equipment designed for atmosphere types A to D.
- Although not on the official X-boat route the IISS maintain a relatively large pool of vessels of all types found in the service.
