Per the rules for low automation, shipboard actions after a week are at DM-1. This is a matter of crew endurance, so time spent off of the gig - either a full day, or the amount of time spent piloting it, whichever is less - will reset this. Time spent aboard as a passenger counts toward neither the week nor the reset time.
