There is a Traveller5 Sense called Awareness which detects Mag and Lek, two descriptors of electrical, magnetic, bioelectric and biomagnetic fields. This Awareness Sense is not psionic though a psionic sophont can devote Aptitude points to the Psi-Sense of Awareness.
