Well, I was quite happy checking passengers in & you kinda wound that thread up. So I am not quite sure what I'm doing now! Tidying public areas or something equally useful, or maybe preparing a light lunch for anyone who's hungry -- Padfoot.

:I think this demonstrates one of the weaknesses with this format (One shared by all PBEM, of course): Lack of feedback. I literally didn't have a clue if you were happy or bored. I feel we're in a startup phase where I need to dump a lot of information on you, and I didn't want to glut you. There are others of the passengers that have interesting stories, but I figured I'd get around to them during First Meal.

:I believe that I'm going to have to assume that as long as I don't hear from the players, they're happy with how things are going. The thing I want to avoid is a situation where the first clue I have that a player isn't enjoying the game is when he or she drops out. So let me have a little feedback now and again. It doesn't have to be much, and it doesn't have to be all negative. Is the reason why none of you have posted moves recently that you don't feel your character is involved in an ongoing scene at the moment, or are there other reasons?

If you feel you don't have anything to do at the moment, say so. While I can't always keep all four characters active, I do my best, and poking me will at least make sure I pay attention to your character. (Or start a scene of your own, if appropriate... strike up a conversation with an NPC you'd like to know more about or something. You can even look up some subject in the ship's database. Although I reserve the right to not write up new material that doesn't interest me, it might be a subject that did interest me).

If you're going to be unable to post for a while, try to give notice ahead of time. I know it isn't always possible, but try.

Well, I was quite happy checking passengers in & you kinda wound that thread up. So I am not quite sure what I'm doing now! Tidying public areas or something equally useful, or maybe preparing a light lunch for anyone who's hungry -- Padfoot.

I think this demonstrates one of the weaknesses with this format (One shared by all PBEM, of course): Lack of feedback. I literally didn't have a clue if you were happy or bored. I feel we're in a startup phase where I need to dump a lot of information on you, and I didn't want to glut you. There are others of the passengers that have interesting stories, but I figured I'd get around to them during First Meal.
I believe that I'm going to have to assume that as long as I don't hear from the players, they're happy with how things are going. The thing I want to avoid is a situation where the first clue I have that a player isn't enjoying the game is when he or she drops out. So let me have a little feedback now and again. It doesn't have to be much, and it doesn't have to be all negative. If there are things you enjoy more than others (OK, I know that so far there really has only been one 'thing', namely conversation, but once you get something to compare it with ;-), let me know.
Apropos, did you people get those TAS newsbriefs I e-mailed you? I'd like to know what you thought about them.
