A Terran martial art, gun-do is a hand to hand combat form which uses a handgun or pair of handguns. These handguns are used to strike and parry blows, as well as to shoot. Gun-do also includes a number of techniques which are designed to allow the practitioner to avoid being hit by handgun projectiles.
This art is often associated with Old Terra and many period dramas, make use of it to add a period flavour.
Gun-do is fought in competitions, using guns which use either small paint pellets or a laser system which records hits.
