Telneskian Mines & Refining
A company active in the Spinward Marches Sector. In 1107, Telneskian Mines & Refining offered to provide training for the locals of Zyra in return for a significant share of any profits from expolitation of the world's resources.
Subsequent information indicated that Zyra had many more accessible lodes of precious metal than had been assumed. The Zyran Confederacy believed that the company would move to take over control of the government of Zyra, to drain the world of these resources.
The matter became complicated when the company obtained two illegal thermonuclear devices which it planned to use hold the Zyran people for ransom in the case of a nationalization attempt. Ordinarily, no company would dare use such weapons on an Imperial world, but TM&R obviously felt that the Fifth Frontier War, underway at the time, would keep Imperial attentions elsewhere long enough for the company’s plans to become a fait accompli, and for the incident to be properly hushed up.
