Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance. |
The Zoe Barrett class Trader is a mercantile starship.
- It is a civilian ship and a Trader Vessel.
Description (Specifications)
The Zoe Barrett class is a popular design used for commercial operations in the Sena Subsector of the Halcyon Sector. They are generally used to service smaller feeder routes and worlds away from the main Star Lanes. They are expensive to own and operate: the trader's voluminous fuel capacity, necessary for long-range operations, precludes large cargo holds and contributes to their higher cost per ton. A number of examples have been converted into passenger liners.

Basic Ship Characteristics
Following the Imperial Navy and IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (...of ten subcraft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (...thousands of tons) where necessary. No. | Category | Remarks |
1. | Tonnage / Hull | The Zoe Barrett is designed around a 900 dTon fully streamlined saucer hull. |
2. | Crew | The vessel requires 13 crew: pilot, navigator, 7x engineers, medic, and 3x gunners/cargo stevedores. |
3. | Performance | The class is a long-range design: it carries enough internal fuel for two consecutive Jump-2s and has sufficient additional capacity to run the power plant for 4 weeks. The vessel is capable of 4-G constant acceleration and has an Agility rating of 2.
|
4. | Electronics | The design is fitted with a military grade model 6 computer adjacent to the bridge. This provides excellent fire control abilities but it lacks the ruggedized fiber optic back ups, common on NFF vessels. |
5. | Hardpoints | 9 hardpoints. |
6. | Armament | The normal weapons fit-out for a Zoe Barrett class is:
|
7. | Defenses | x1 defensive triple sandcaster turret |
8. | Craft | The class carries a pair of G-carriers for interface services. |
9. | Fuel Treatment | It is fitted with fuel scoops and onboard fuel purification for wilderness refueling. |
10. | Cost | MCr633.154 in quantity 506.523. |
11. | Construction Time | 116 weeks. |
12. | Comments | Accommodations include 6.5 staterooms, sufficient for double occupation for the crew: there are no provisions for passenger services in the baseline model. Cargo capacity: 180.0 dTons. |
