Yorbund is a fluid world with an oceanic geography of a liquid other than water such as ammonia, methane, hydrocarbons, or other exotic liquids. The system has a population between 10,000 and 10 million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Regina Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector and in the Domain of Deneb. Yorbund, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world.

It is located within the Kinorb Cluster.

Ice asteroids in Yorbund's two large planetoid belts provide the only available source of fuel within the system.

Yorbund has a warm climate and a corrosive fluorine atmosphere that has so far limited efforts to explore the planet.

World Timeline

• (1108): During the Fifth Frontier War Yorbund was subject to attacks from Zhodani-allied Vargr forces. On 014-1108 the Imperial Admiralty declared the system a combat zone.
