History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

The Sky Raiders settled some of their people here. They intermixed with the local remnants of the Vlazhdumecta, whose trade empire had been dismantled by the Zhodani, and began to build in anticipation of the time when the great worldship of their people would reach them.

In -2959, the Zhupek Shirkaa, an empire that arose from the world of D'rarayi, which had a similar history, conquered Yereng.

The Zhupek was itself dismantled by the Zhodani.

By the -2350s, politics in the region were again tense. Jealous of some worlds' independence while their own systems had accepted client status with the Consulate, disgruntled factions began targeting Yereng and other worlds left outside the Zhodani sphere. Several close calls prevented Yereng from being utterly depopulated by bio-war packages. Using new clients Thapek, Zayiri and Raletela as bases, the Zhodani cracked down on the region and put a stop to the attacks.

World Starport (Sp)[edit]

Yereng has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Population (P)[edit]

2,000

World Government (G)[edit]

Yereng is governed by a Participatory Democracy where eligible voters determine laws and policy. What determines an eligible voter varies. There may be smaller councils or regional bodies to write the policies voted on. Leadership of the government and all members of the bureaucracy are determined by voting population.

World Technology Level (TL)[edit]

Yereng possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.
