Meta-History & Background[edit]

Wraith Sector is a physically unexplored region. As far as is known, in recent history none of its systems have been visited by starfaring sophonts.

Description[edit]

Wraith Sector is distant region primarily consisting of undeveloped wilderness. It is possible that starfarers, elements of the Cripple Fleet, reached a few of its worlds thousands of years ago.

History & Background[edit]

Very little information about Wraith Sector is available. Much of this is tall tales, hearsay, and rumor, often propagated by popular 3V Entertainment shows.

Native Sophonts (NILs):[edit]

No native sophont species are known to exist within Wraith Sector. There are very probably unknown NILs among its many unnamed and unexplored systems.

Demographics[edit]

No information yet available.

Historical Eras[edit]

Major Historical Events[edit]

Some of the important historical events that have affected Wraith Sector include:

  • 2255AD Wraith Sector officially named. It had previously been charted by long-range scans performed by vessels the Last Armada.
  • 5550AD Star and world data for the sector becomes available with the publication of the DSP Listing.

Interstellar Relations[edit]

No polities exist within (or make a claim on any part of) Wraith Sector.

Physical Astrography[edit]

The following astrographic features can be found within Wraith Sector:

Clusters & Traces[edit]

Rifts & Voids[edit]

Anomalies[edit]

Other Astrographic Features[edit]

Stars

  • Basilisk's Eye (1723 Tarchon Sector). The extremely luminous white supergiant primary star of the system, lying around 85 parsecs to rimward-trailing, can be clearly seen from all of the worlds lying within Wraith Sector.
  • Demon's Eye (1621 Far Home Sector). The intensely luminous blue supergiant primary star of the system, lying around 150 parsecs to spinward-rimward, can be clearly seen from all of the worlds lying within Wraith Sector.

Political Astrography[edit]

All of the systems within Wraith Sector have had their stars and major planetary bodies identified and their orbits determined. One world within each system has been nominated as the provisional Mainworld, although this designation may change as more information about the system becomes available.

Capitals:[edit]

No capitals have been designated.

Subsector Listing[edit]

No subsectors within Wraith Sector have been officially named. As such, subsector names are not marked on star charts.

  • Unofficially, each subsector is named for the brightest star, an unusual feature, or the most habitable or interesting world lying within its borders.

The practise of naming subsectors was originally adopted to help demark the difference between settled or explored areas (named subsectors) and empty wilderness (unnamed subsectors). However, this has broken down over time, largely due to the influence of popular 3V shows, and some subsectors that have never been visited now bear "official" titles on star charts.
