The 985 system Vilani Main, the largest chain of systems in the Imperial region, is the oldest, richest, and most cohesive section of the Imperium. Few of its worlds gave up interstellar travel during the Long Night.
Extending from Windhorn rimward through Vland to Dagudashaag and spinward from Lishun through Gushemege along the border of the Great Rift, and touching the coreward borders of Reft, Ilelish and Verge. Despite its size, Core and Ilelish only have two systems each on the main.
Almost two-thirds of the planets in the Vland Sector can be reached from Vland (Vlan 1717) by a series of one-parsec jumps. The Main extends to trailing into spinward subsectors of Lishun, where it includes subsector capitals of Paran (Lish 0934), Pryden (Lish 0316), Shuna (Lish 0227), and Shuun (Lish 0331).
In Dagudashaag the twenty-three systems of the Vilani Main in Arnakhish (Dagu C) and Iiradu (Dagu D) is known locally as the Plague Way and carries through into Kakadan (Vlan P). The twenty-eight systems in Mimu (Dagu A) of the Vilani Main is known locally as the Slavers Reach Route and carries through into Tansa (Gush D).
Other subsector capitals hosted by the Vilani Main include Cyril (Reft 2738), Karnika (Core 0901), Kashmiir (Dagu 0103), Kukhun (Gush 3105), Orren Station (Gush 0630), Shakhamash (Gush 2716), Sharenga (Gush 2305), Sidur Ishki (Gush 1234), and Tikav (Gush 1426).
