On one of the many other fora I inhabit one person brought up the Imperial armed services rank articles. The question was since the existing articles are largely boilerplate, would the information work better as single article with appropriate headers?  Since you were the person doing the work I felt it better to ask you rather than try and create an answer or re-do articles without discussion. : With 20:20 hindsight, that is probably the case. But what is done is done and there aren't many to go. Also, as one goes through the other careers, there is some overlap with some but not all of the ranks already done. I personally prefer one page per thing. The biggest problem is that the ranks structures are just inconsistent across editions; inconsistent within services and just inconsistent generally. A serious case of too many cooks with no chef I suspect! [[User:BackworldTraveller|BackworldTraveller]] ([[User talk:BackworldTraveller|talk]]) 13:56, 6 August 2020 (EDT)

Revision as of 19:51, 6 August 2020

Welcome to the Traveller Wiki. Thank you for the many edits. If you have any questions or would like to say hello please post to the forum:Watercooler or on my talk page. Tjoneslo (talk) 06:51, 6 May 2020 (EDT)

Categories, singular or plural?

I saw you moved a number of languages articles from Category:Languages to Category:Language. I’m curious as to the thinking of selecting one over the other. Tjoneslo (talk) 16:08, 4 June 2020 (EDT)

Numbers...A lot less to move to Language from Languages than vice-versa. BackworldTraveller (talk) 16:09, 4 June 2020 (EDT)

Cleaning the Double redirects

Thank you for doing that bit of maintenance work. That is great to be cleaned up. Tjoneslo (talk) 08:41, 16 June 2020 (EDT)

Vehicles from JTAS14

I've added two of the vehicles mentioned in JTAS14. Another, the "Light APC" is an unnamed example of the class. The Light APC article is a summary page. In some previous instances these unnamed examples were given a name by the wiki staff. The other vehicles mention (Motocycle with sidecar, Motorcycle, Grav Cycle, Ground Car) are all equally generic named. Since this is your project, please let me know how you want these added. Tjoneslo (talk) 20:55, 23 June 2020 (EDT)

Motorcycle with sidecar would be new for definite. the other three are potential duplicates (Different Manufacturers?) --can you paste details here and I can then I can slide them in as appropriate.BackworldTraveller (talk) 01:44, 24 June 2020 (EDT)
See below. They're mostly just stats, rather than any real description about what they are, and how they are used. It's all assumed. Tjoneslo (talk) 07:20, 24 June 2020 (EDT)
