O and H codes for Vanguard Reaches sector data

I really have no idea. I think you will need to go back to the original source for this, which I do not have a copy of. Tjoneslo 10:27, May 5, 2010 (UTC)

Strephon the Pretender

The term Pretender is genealogical and heraldic for a person with a Title of Pretence, a claim to a coat of arms, dignity, or property that is in dispute or not firmly possessed by the claimant. I used it in that sense because Strephon was reclaiming his old title back. I think they refer to him with that title in the material to difference him from the pre-Rebellion Strephon and to keep his true status unclear.

The GDW plot material made Strephon's real status vague to perpetuate the factionalization of the Rebellion era and was a plot secret tied in with other plot secrets (Longbow II, Empress Wave). A living Strephon who could prove his identity would be more legitimate than the other claimants, making him the clear "loyalist" candidate and making the others less popular.

The writers wanted the players to be torn between flawed leaders who represented rival ideologies, not "good" versus "bad". Even Dulinor the Usurper was depicted as acting to reform the Imperium before it could fall apart through apathy and corruption.

The writers also were history buffs who modeled Strephon's faction on that of "fake" claimants who pretended to be deceased personages (like Marshal Ney and Lord Tichfield) and real claimants whose titles were usurped by others ("Bonnie Prince Charlie").

Xboat routes

For the most part I use Galactic, the data from travellermap.com and from the Zhodani base (zho.berka.com).
