The dust has settled, but will most likely get stirred up again with a pending move. My hopes are high that I can get an office/study set up at the “new” place and really get to digging for those nuggets that I know are in those books and magazines… now if only I can find the right box in what turn out to be a storage area (garage).

Yupp, I moved again... and the challenge now is to find all the stuff that makes a house a home. Hopefully by mid-January everything will be in its proper place (unless I get told to move this couch over here, it looks better this way etc.)... and I finally have an office/study to call my own.

Hello,

I'm Steve Steudtel and played Traveller when it first hit the shelves (or shortly after that) when I was still in high school. I actually cut my RPG teeth on "En Garde". D&D was a passing fad for me; science fiction and Traveller dominated my late teens and early twenties.

Life got in full swing, a full 21 year career in the military came to an end.

For the last couple of years I would think back at those earlier times. I wound up finding a lot of time on my hands lately and started searching on the internet and found out that Traveller is alive and well. I started re-reading some of the books that I have and trying to get current in the "history" of the Third Imperium.

As I was searching on the internet I was shocked to learn that the Third Imperium was in a shambles as per the tail end of MegaTraveller, but that some hung onto the idea of Classic Traveller none-the-less.

I think I will stay with the classic story line, but the addition of the wealth of information presented by GURPS is just too good to ignore.
